Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 3, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Healey Enterprises US LLC ("Shepherd Sites," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use Shepherd Sites, our church website platform. By using the service, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information we collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account information. When you register, we collect your name, email address, and a securely hashed password. We never store your password in plain text.
- Ministry and site content. Information you add to your site, such as your ministry name, settings, branding, sermons, events, and pages.
- Donor and giving records. If you use our giving tools, we store the donor and donation details you enter (such as names, contact details, and gift amounts) so we can generate statements and reports for you.
- Billing information. When you subscribe to a paid plan, payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card number; Stripe handles card data and provides us with limited details such as your subscription status and customer identifiers.
- Site analytics. For published sites, we collect privacy-friendly usage data such as the page visited and a coarse referrer. We do not collect IP addresses, set tracking cookies, or store device fingerprints for analytics.
2. How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the service and your ministry site;
- Process subscriptions and payments;
- Send transactional and service emails, such as RSVP confirmations and account notices;
- Generate the reports, statements, and analytics you request;
- Respond to your inquiries and provide support;
- Protect the security and integrity of the service and comply with law.
3. Email communications
We use Resend to deliver emails on behalf of the service and on behalf of your church (for example, RSVP confirmations sent to your event registrants). We send transactional messages related to your account and use of the service. We do not sell your email address.
4. Service providers
We share information with trusted third-party providers only as needed to operate the service:
- Neon — database hosting;
- Vercel — application hosting and delivery;
- Stripe — payment processing;
- Resend — email delivery.
These providers process information under their own terms and privacy commitments. We do not sell your personal information or the personal information of your congregants, donors, or site visitors.
5. Data you collect from others
When you use Shepherd Sites to collect information from your congregants, donors, or site visitors (for example, contact submissions, event RSVPs, or giving records), you are the controller of that information and we process it on your behalf. You are responsible for providing any required privacy notices and for obtaining any necessary consents from those individuals.
6. Cookies
We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies or similar technologies to keep you signed in and to operate the service. Our site analytics are designed to be privacy-friendly and do not rely on tracking cookies.
7. Data retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. If you close your account, we will delete or anonymize your information within a reasonable period, except where we must retain it to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements. Please keep your own backups of important data.
8. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including hashed passwords, encrypted connections, and per-account access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your choices and rights
You can access and update your account information at any time from your account settings. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, or to object to certain processing. To make a request, contact us at support@shepherdsites.com. We will respond consistent with applicable law.
10. Children's privacy
The service is intended for use by adults administering church and ministry websites. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children through the administrative service.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
